1. Delete from inside the app (fastest)
Open the SmashDrop app, tap your avatar to open Profile, then Account & Security → Delete account → Delete my account. Confirm the dialog and your account is deleted immediately - you are signed out on every device.
If you currently host a live event or are playing in one, the app asks you to finish, cancel, or leave those events first (a host or a player vanishing mid-tournament would break the event for everyone else). Once your live events are done, deletion completes at once.
2. What gets deleted
- Your sign-in identity (email/password, Google or Apple sign-in) - you cannot sign back in.
- Your profile: name, display name, photo, date of birth, phone, location, ratings and rating-service links (e.g. DUPR), preferences and notification settings.
- Your notifications, push-notification registrations, event archives, event templates and any host roles you held.
3. What stays, and why
Events you played in keep an anonymous “Deleted player” entry so other players’ results, standings and match history stay coherent - none of it identifies you. Where a rating service (such as DUPR) already received a match result you took part in, that record lives with that service under its own policy. We may keep limited records where the law requires it or to resolve a dispute (Privacy Policy §5).
4. Can’t open the app? Ask us by email
Email hello@smashdrop.com from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my SmashDrop account”. We verify it is you and complete the deletion within 30 days, then confirm by reply.
